Last week, we were delighted to welcome a group of MSc students from the University of Edinburgh to Orkney as part of their field trip. We challenged them with some of the real-world issues faced by ICNZ, including food security in an island context and the importance of lifeline transport links to the outer isles.
The students explored these topics through focused research and shared their insights during a workshop, joined by our sister Islands Growth Deal project, TalEntEd.
Their findings sparked thoughtful discussion and plenty of lively debate, a great reminder that collaboration and fresh perspectives are key to turning climate action into reality.
